A Meeting held with International Students in Amasra

A meeting was held in Amasra with the international students from 7 different countries, who study at Bartın University. First steps were taken to establish a “Brotherhood Club” affiliated to Bartın University, in which our international students would take active roles.

In the meeting, it was agreed on that the Lecturer and Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Yunus Abdurrahimoğlu, also Kyrgyz citizen, would supervise the club, which would bring together all international students studying at Bartın University. The international students at the club will carry out several activities in order to introduce their own cultures.

A visit to the Amasra Museum

The student paid a visit to the historical and cultural places in Amasra after the meeting. The provincial governor of Bartın, Seyfettin Azizoğlu, the Rector of Bartın University, Prof. Dr.  Ramazan Kaplan and the former Rector of Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, Prof. Dr. Azmi Özcan also participated in the event and visited the Amasra Museum with the students. Archeologist Güray Can Aytekin gave brief information about Roman, Byzantium and Genoese periods. It was also stated in the meeting that it was one of the top ten small museums in Turkey.
